LATEST

Hello world. Nice to see you here.

2023 is set to be a big year for us having just signed with indie label Modern Sky. The next few months will track an EP release of some brand new songs which I've poured a bucket load of past angst and joy into (conflicting right?)

'Jack Valero' now features a full line up with bass, guitar, drums and backing vocals. The band will be on the road soon performing a string of dates in the UK.

“Songs that showcase Valero’s talent for classic songwriting, emotionally-driven storytelling, and a warm melody that hooks in your head and heart.” - The Line of Best Fit

“Feels of classic Elvis Costello.” - Chris Hawkins, 6 Music

“Valero injects some much-needed change into the world of British pop.” - Wonderland

'Heaven Help Me' X-posure Hot One John Kennedy, Radio X

Having capped 2022 with his trilogy release 'Heaven Help Me’, ‘Hollow Warmth’ and ‘Form Over Function’, Jack Valero debuted his solo career with comparisons to Tom Petty and Elvis Costello. His conversational lyricism, understated wit alongside spirited Americana/rock instrumentation and a knack for timeless British pop songwriting caught the attention of new music champions, earning airplay from John Kennedy at Radio X, Amazing Radio and Chris Hawkins at 6 Music being moved  to say  ‘This is so good. SO good…What a beautiful thing’.

2023 has kicked off with Jack signing with respected indie label Modern Sky to release his new tracks recorded at Echo Zoo Studios, produced by Romeo Stodart (The Magic Numbers) and engineered by Dave Izumi. Bringing these songs to life with his newly formed band, Jack will take these new songs out on the road soon; recently debuting the new line up in their hometown Brighton with a sold out set at The Folklore Rooms.

Made up of Maxine Cahill on bass (The Ramonas), Erik Listrom on Guitar, Theo Williams-Burchall on drums and Amie Shouler on backing vocals; the band are already a powerhouse of confident arrangements, electric musicianship and gorgeous vocal harmonies which has caught audiences instantly.
